Talk to a person
There is no ticket queue and no chatbot. Mail goes to a mailbox a human reads, and we would rather hear from you before you give up on something than after.
A question before you sign up
Will it fit our company?
Your play, your licence, the size of your cast, whether the scheduler copes with two casts of children. Ask before you spend an evening on it.
Help with your company
Something is not working
Tell us which company and which production. If you are in your production week, say so in the first line — it goes to the top of the pile.
Billing, an invoice, or approval
For treasurers
Including invoice and bank transfer if your society cannot pay by card, which is normal for groups attached to a school, a church or a charity.
Rights, licensing or a takedown
For rights holders
Name the work and the company and we will act. Rights mail is answered before anything else in the inbox.
When you will hear back
- One working day — anything from a company in its production week.
- Two working days — help with a company, billing and invoices.
- Three working days — questions before signing up. We are a small team and would rather answer properly than quickly.
For licensors and rights holders
We hold no library and distribute nothing. Every script in the system was uploaded by the company that licensed it, and it cannot leave — there is no export, no download and no public link.
Our full position is set out on the script and the licence, and we would genuinely rather talk early than be a surprise.
Already using it?
Sign in first. The help link inside your company knows which production you are in, so you do not have to explain it — app.thehalfcall.com.
Why there is no form here
This site is static: files on a CDN, with no server behind them, no database and no secrets. A form needs somewhere to post to, and the only sensible place is the application, which already sends mail. Until that is wired up, a mail link is the honest option — it works, it reaches the same mailbox, and it does not pretend to have sent something it has not.
